The Vaccine Manufacturing Program accelerates the implementation of new manufacturing technologies across a variety of platform processes. It brings together stakeholders and resources to collaboratively identify opportunities to advance manufacturing related issues relevant to the development and distribution of vaccines. These efforts include the establishment of the NIIMBL Center of Excellence for Vaccine Analytics and Assays that supports manufacturing and product characterization of vaccines. The activities of the Program address the technology and workforce needs of major vaccine companies and suppliers in the U.S. while serving the interests of the global community through additional support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
