The Development Operations department at Boehringer Ingelheim Fremont, Inc. is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow who will develop innovative ideas to solve complex biomanufacturing challenges. Duties & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for identifying and proposing solutions to complex biomanufacturing challenges that are of interest to Boehringer Ingelheim Fremont, Inc.
Initial focus will be on the creation of a digital representation of the Boehringer Ingelheim Fremont biomanufacturing facility using advanced simulation techniques to optimize production efficiency and simplify the resource & cost simulation process. Another important part of your responsibility will be to obtain buy in and support from matrixed functions and leadership as well as to provide regular progress updates.
As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will have the opportunity to drive research of novel concepts in computational modeling & digitalization technologies, process science, biomanufacturing science, process analytical technologies, and other technological aspects of biomanufacturing. Additionally, you will have the opportunity and responsibility to collaborate with leading academic institutions as well as other industrial partners. You will be responsible for identifying and developing appropriate tools and methods as well as integrating and interpreting your data.
A unique aspect of this appointment is the opportunity to obtain additional training in innovation management as this role is within the Technology Innovation group.
