It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Mark Fisher.
Dr. Fisher held the position of Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Kansas Medical School, a member of the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Technology & Education (NIPTE). His extensive research focused on protein folding and was supported through numerous grants and partnerships with the NIH and the biotechnology industry.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Fisher had a profound impact on his colleagues and students. He was a dedicated advocate for the research programs and educational opportunities at the University of Kansas Medical School. He will be remembered for enthusiastically sharing his expertise with his colleagues, students, and medical trainees. His passion for science was evident in all of his interactions.
