We are pleased to announce a follow-up workshop focused on advancing the development of Resilient and Flexible Biopharmaceutical Supply Networks through collaborative innovation and practical problem-solving.

Building on the insights from our initial workshop, this next session will bring together a targeted group of experts and practitioners who are directly engaged with the real-world challenges of biopharmaceutical supply chains. Our goal is to move from discussion to action — identifying high-impact use cases, exploring scalable solutions, and charting a path forward for implementation.

Workshop Objectives

  • Prioritize practical use cases that address critical supply chain vulnerabilities
  • Foster collaboration across industry, government, and academia to co-develop solutions
  • Advance the vision of a Manufacturing Supply Chain Data Exchange (MSCDE) as a national and global resource

Key Themes from the Initial Workshop

  • Raw Materials Attribute Analysis & Product Genealogy Tracking: Enhancing traceability and quality assurance across complex supply chains
  • Collaborative Demand Sensing & Supply Chain Resilience: Leveraging real-time analytics and predictive tools to anticipate disruptions
  • Flow and Schedule/Planning Optimization: Improving internal and external coordination to ensure timely, efficient delivery

These themes emerged from a diverse group of stakeholders and reflect a shared urgency to modernize supply chain infrastructure, especially for biologics and vaccines.

Who Should Participate

To make meaningful progress, we need the right people in the room — those who are closest to the challenges and best positioned to shape practical, scalable solutions. Your expertise and perspective could be invaluable to this effort.

We are seeking individuals who are actively engaged in or responsible for:

  • Supply chain management across the biopharmaceutical lifecycle — from raw material sourcing to cold chain product delivery
  • Operations and logistics at major suppliers and vendors serving the biopharma industry
  • Production tracking and quality assurance at small and mid-sized suppliers
  • Policy development and coordination related to the delivery of vaccines, antibodies, and other critical biologics, especially in response to pandemic threats
  • Digital infrastructure, data standards, and analytics supporting supply chain visibility, resilience, and optimization

If you or someone in your network fits this profile, we strongly encourage participation in this collaborative effort.

Workshop date and location are TBD but is tentatively planned for a hybrid format in-person with virtual participation in the Greater Washington, D.C. area in 4Q2025.

If you have questions, please contact Ryan Foster at [email protected].
