NJII Cell and Gene Therapy Development Center, NIIMBL Center of Excellence

The New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII), based on the campus of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, is developing a Cell and Gene Therapy Development Center in Newark, NJ. The Center will provide industry and academia the opportunity to access and use state-of-the-art equipment to develop cutting-edge products in a cost and time effective manner. The Center can satisfy pharmaceutical companies’ needs for process development and clinical production, while equipment manufacturers can use the facility to develop applications, technologies and showcase their latest offerings to potential clients. NIIMBL’s academic partners can utilize the space to conduct research using state-of-the-art systems, equipment and technology. Industry, academia and government partners can all utilize the Center for both hands-on and classroom training needs. Our Center can also serve as a platform for industry, academia, and regulatory agencies to standardize manufacturing practices in the cell and gene therapy space.
